US shutdown to end as Senate Republicans and Democrats reach a deal (ruh roh)

Democrats and Republicans have agreed to a deal which will end the US government shutdown.

The government partially shut down on Friday after a funding deadline ran out because the two parties had failed to agree on a deal.

On Monday afternoon Democratic senators announced they have agreed to a deal with the Republicans which paves the way to reopen the federal government.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, the party's most senior senator, announced that the party would vote to advance a plan to reopen the government.

The deal means the Republicans will promise to take up an immigration bill which would protect an estimated 800,000 undocumented child migrants from deportation in exchange for the Democrats agreeing to end the shutdown.

Let them take up the bill as a face saving gesture to the Democrats as long as they did not agree to pass it.

This statement is ringing big-time alarm bells:

Schumer: “We expect that a bipartisan bill on DACA will receive fair consideration and an up or down vote on the floor.”

This leads me to believe that the fix is in. Graham has enough co-traitors in the Republican caucus who will vote with the democrats for clean DACA amnesty without any of the immigration system fixes or new security measures that we absolutely have to have to save this country.

Yes. Trump said he supports protecting the 800,000 DACA recipients but will not sign anything that doesn’t put an end to chain migration and the visa lottery AND we get the wall. Getting rid of chain migration and getting the wall will stop another DACA from coming up, he hopes.
