Shortly before his death in 1900, the Russian philosopher and poet Vladimir Soloviev completed “A Short Story of the Anti-Christ.”
He described his fictional twenty-first century character (based on the Biblical antichrist) this way: “He loved only himself. . . . This man would bow down before the power of Evil as soon as it would offer him a bribe.”
His “conception of his higher value showed itself in practice . . . in seizing his privilege and advantage at the expense of others . . . . The moral achievement of Christ and his uniqueness were beyond an intellect so completely clouded by self-love as his,” which displayed “a complete absence of true simplicity, frankness, and sincerity.”
I was reminded of Soloviev’s story by a recent History News Network article in which Ed Simon asked, “If the anti-Christ is supposed to be a manipulative, powerful, smooth-talking demagogue with the ability to sever people from their most deeply held beliefs, who would be a better candidate than the seemingly indestructible Trump?”

For so long now they’ve accused President Trump of being a bumbling speaker. Now he’s some smooth talker that converts “unbelievers” to his “false” tale? Their narrative changes daily.
Their greatest fear is coming true - the man they’ve called the most divisive in history is uniting the masses behind the TRUTH that they’ve hidden for so long. And once the truth does come out, they will lose everything.
Newsweak is not even suitable for wiping the s-hole with.
It’s rather amazing the lengths these people will go to, even digging up an obscure article from over 100 years ago, to trash Trump with.
When it comes to movie and television plots, I’ve heard it said that there are only very few actual plots, and those plots are dressed up to look like something new and innovative, to attract an audience.
When it comes to trashing this president, there’s only one plot. It’s finding a reason to hate on him, with a variation of that single plot.
Plot:
1. find trash to smear Trump with (true or not)
2. embellish at will
3. act like this is finally it, the final nail in his impeachment coffin
4. bring the author on a number (never enough of them for the left) television talk shows to heap praise on them for this new cutting edge insight
5. describe it as undeniable true (when they know quite often it isn’t), a cutting edge issue, and very serious
6. rinse and repeat
This is getting so old...
We need to get the Leftists a 2017-2021 participation award.
