Today, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), and House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Ca.) released the following statement concerning the 384 pages of new text messages between top FBI officials:
This weekend we met to discuss the text messages and possible next steps in our oversight of these agencies. The contents of these text messages between top FBI officials are extremely troubling in terms of when certain key decisions were made by the Department of Justice and the FBI, by whom these decisions were made, and the evident bias exhibited by those in charge of the investigation. The omission of text messages between December 2016 and May 2017, a critical gap encompassing the FBIs Russia investigation, is equally concerning. Rather than clearing up prior FBI and DOJ actions, these recently produced documents cause us to further question the credibility and objectivity of certain officials at the FBI.
That's the left's latest talking point - after it was "Russian bots" this weekend - that the Nunes memo is bogus because he won't let the FBI review it.
Wow, you mean the Chairman won't let the bureau - which has been lying and obstructing and committing who knows what all crimes for well on two years - review the memo that details their crimes?
p
The DOJ was begging for them to not release the memos....................
who is he protecting?? it can’t be the American people.
___________
Bathroom break ............
Himself. My guess is the FBI has a nice little dossier on him they are threatening to release.
What a gang of thugs. Just like the J. Edgar Hoover Days.
NOTHING has changed with them.
When I first started watching George Webb’s YouTube videos about 9 months ago, he described a meeting where Andrew McCabe told a group of FBI people “First we f*** Flynn, then we f*** Trump”.
I am now wondering if this was the “secret society meeting the day after the election that is referred to in this latest batch of text messages...Comments?
Who he are you talking about?
The real dealing with this is simple, make it public. The price is free. The cost may be one’s life or the life of family or friends. Things are so bad that they have gone beyond perp walking a few soldiers at the bottom to treason and sedition not seen since Benedict Arnold. The punishment for these crimes is highly likely the death penalty.
These crimes were also done while our troops are involved in wars around the globe. GITMO rules could apply to traitors caught as well. People insulated with money and incriminating evidence on those that might prosecute will not go quietly into the night.
If a convenience store robber will kill over $50 what do you think these evil people would stoop to?
Foot dragging from incompetence or out of real fear that doing one’s duty under one’s oath of office might have a great price tag, and is the price one you are willing to pay?
Pray for our nation’s leaders that they will do the right thing and act according to their oath of office. Pray that God will give them boldness to act and protect them as they act. Pray God will guide them with wisdom and will protect them and their families in the doing of their duty. Amen.
Sessions. I have hope that the IG is a good guy. I have doubts that the AG is. He may be another “Roberts” that has to stay away from certain topics, because of blackmail.
It’s deliberately cryptic, but notice the little bombshells:
“...possible next steps...”; and
“...further question the credibility and objectivity of certain officials at the FBI.”
Next steps? What might those be?
Certain officials? Who might those be?
This is a very high stakes poker game, and you don’t want to tip your hand.
Thanks mojito.
Amen, my friend. These are perilous times indeed, and only in the aftermath will many realize how perilous.
Oh please. You dont know the first darn thing about Session.
Let’s make it public! We deserve to know.
“The real dealing with this is simple, make it public.”
Of course. It’s “WE the people” who employ THEM. We own the document, and there’s nothing confidential or secret in it. They have no right to withhold it. If they continue this cover-up, there may be a march on the DC office buildings, and there’ll be no pussy hats.
I’ve always thought they had a file on him about some gay activities from years back. He doesn’t want that out to tarnish his reputation as a fine Christian gentleman.
