Russia's Putin and Turkey's Erdogan agree on creation of Palestinian state
In a phonecall, the two leaders "discussed the situation of Middle East peace talks in the context of the resolution adopted by the UN General Assembly on the status of Jerusalem," the Kremlin said in a statement.
They "confirmed the mutual disposition to continue to assist in resolving the Palestine-Israeli conflict on the basis of international norms and realisation of the right of the Palestinian people to create an independent state," it said.
US President Donald Trump decided on December 6 to recognise Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
Trump's move has been condemned worldwide.

Good point. And I am no fan of Ukraine’s govt but Russia’s pretenses were so false and awful!
Have they agreed that Jordan is the Arab Palestinian nation created out of the Palestinian Mandate, leaving about one quarter of the Mandate for Israel? The true two state solution.
Or is this still the same old same old demanded by the Palestinian Covenant, that all the Palestinian Mandate belongs to the Muslims and all Jews, whether their ancestors have lived in Israel since 1,000 BC, have to leave or be driven out?
How does Putin’s “Christian faith” line up with the Palestinians claiming that Jews have never lived in Israel and Yeshua (Jesus) was Muslim.

As though this is a change in policy. The US agrees on the creation of a palestinian state.
Still there, though most of the Jewish population has left it’s still Russia’s only autonomous region. I don’t know what benefits that entails, but the don’t want to give up the status.
