I hate to be a wet blanket, but where is this Congressional oversight sh** going? I mean, where CAN it go?

In order for what Lincoln called “the ordinary course of judicial proceedings” to end the coup, there has to be an intact and functioning Federal Justice Department - but there isn’t, and there won’t be one - because this Senate will not confirm replacements for Sessions, Rosenstein, and the rest.

There is no pathway that puts civilian law enforcement officials who will reveal the truth and prosecute the guilty in charge of a legitimate investigation/prosecution. I’m sorry, but you all can go on about Judge Piro or Judge Judy for that matter all you want, or even my man Rudy, but any official at the necessary level will require Senate confirmation, which is not possible with a strong anti-Trump majority of at least 10 and possibly 20 votes.

A coup, which is what this is, is an extrajudicial proceeding. When Mueller fails, they will escalate to force on force, guaranteed.

I wish Trump would strike first.
