The Wall cuts off all future invaders, it’s absolutely essential, DADA is only 700,000 people, so this would be worthwhile trade.
(I’m just saying this so everyone can be prepared, and not upset that President Trump has “sold us out”. Compromise is how the big deals get done.)
I’ll take your deal on the wall for DACA only if it includes an end to chain migration and an end to the visa lottery system.
DACA is not just the 7-800,000, but applies to all the DREAMERS several millions - if not a lot more. Not a worthwhile trade.
If screened and vetted properly and merit based it would probably be less then 200,000......Merit based is the key!!...Can you speak English?.....Graduate from HS?....No run ins with the law?....Haven't been on welfare?.......Paid your taxes?....Welcome to America!....Here's your green card!

If any DACA amnesty includes no chain migration, no use of any welfare for 5 to 10 years, requirement to pay taxes and deportation for crime, that 700,000 will decrease quite rapidly. Possibly leaving those who want to assimilate.
I would rather they all go, but if a compromise will be made make one that rids us of leaches and criminals
