Sen. Richard Durbin has announced the death of his “Gang of Six” amnesty-giveaway bill and tepidly promised to develop a replacement bill sought by the party’s pro-amnesty base. But Durbin also listed a series of basic immigration problems he and his allies deliberately ignored during their media-aided effort to rush an amnesty rough Congress. That sudden recognition of well-known problems suggests that the Democrats leaders are trying to avoid another self-defeating debate on amnesty that would further damage many of their 2018 candidates.
Durbin said Wednesday morning:
We came up with an agreement. We presented it to the president through Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, a Republican, on January 11. [The President] rejected it, so, as of today, we really don’t have a bill before us, and we are starting anew with a conversation about what to do to meet the president’s challenge.
Durbin’s push for amnesty played the largest role in creating this political illegals-before-Americans disaster for the Democrats, which has boosted GOP morale, narrowed the Democrats’ generic polling advantage, and has given the GOP a hard-hitting emotional argument to turn out their base and to win over swing-voters in November.

Could be more, but with that, maybe they could then plan what to do with kids brought over less than 8 years old prior to 2008, thus still under or at 18 now. Everyone else gets deported. Period. No exception.
Negotiation should focus on how long to allow illegal aliens to leave, not if they have to, and on what terms can they apply to immigrate legally to the US (e.g., never if deported, after 5 years or something if leave without formal deport).

Won’t work, those all make too much sense. You can tell the Dems are in trouble, they are fighting for amnesty, making it easy for illegals to vote in California, trying to legalize voting for felons in Florida.

For decades Bush league Republicans have told us that the only solution was abandoning the rule of law and surrendering the country.

It is only way to root out illegals. We all have ID anyway. I really do not see the problem with this. Do you fear your driver’s license? or passport? eVerify is just checking that all is legal.

The fact that Dirty Dick Durbin LIED about what the POTUS said, AND, that the POTUS' supporters (and others, see below) didn't give a good ******* anyway, had an awful lot to do with it.
