More virulent virus/viri and affecting both young and old, and those with compromised immune systems.
Hospitals are getting overcrowded, and have become influenza central;
nursing homes for the elderly are turning away visitors or mandating N-95 face masks.
Schools are being cancelled due to flu outbreak.
We have not yet reached "peak season" for influenza, yet !(Feb.)
I have five highly placed sources who tell me it is a genetically modified virus.

I wouldn’t doubt that at all. In fact, it is not surprising.
Most likely they will give medications to help breathing and make sure electrolytes aren’t out of kilter. They will probably take a chest xray and run an EKG. If there is any sign of pneumonia antibiotics may be given by IV. They will treat any sign of cardiac distress. If fever is spiking or very high meds will be given to bring it down.
I was illustrating the absurdity of anonymous sources by referencing anonymous sources.
I see. But I still wouldn’t be surprised.
So sorry you had to go through that terrible ER situation, with your dear Mom. I hope she is doing better.
Colloidal silver does not affect viruses. It will neither prevent nor treat flu.
It kills bacteria but is much more effective for external use than internal, and one needs to be careful about internal use. It is not a cure all. Nothing is, actually.
I’ve made CS and used it for some things and it’s a useful thing to have around but does nothing against viruses.
PS the best preventive that I know of is elderberry syrup. Elderberry syrup or tincture, when made properly (ie not over heating the elderberries) prevents the flu viruses from replicating in cells, which they have to do to give you the flu. It weakens the viruses, and also strengthens the cells walls so the viruses can’t get in.
Take 1 to 2 teaspoons a day as prevention, and even if you do get flu, it won’t be as severe, and as soon as you get ANY symptoms at all or think you’ve been around people with flu, start taking up to 3 or 5 Tablespoons a day.
I make my own syrup and tincture and prefer syrup as I can’t handle 1 T of alcohol and plus grain alcohol is more expensive than honey or sugar. I use 50/50 well water and grain alcohol for the tincture.
Thanks, I’ll reply tomorrow in some detail. Calling it a day.
Like "out of the frying pan...?"
Yeah, I need to call it a day, too. I am an herbalist with a small clientel, self educated, and also read up obsessively about flu starting in late 2005 for a few years. I learned more than I ever thought possible, remember some of it (haha) and of course am not an expert.
Like “out of the frying pan...?”

That’s about it. It’s very scary.
Thankfully my Mom only had a bad UTI. We wore the masks and thankfully didn’t catch anything.
Crouse Hospital here in Syracuse has opened up two previously unused floors for handling the overload of flu cases.
Thank God they had the space to avail themselves of.
Something is weird about this situation.
A NEIGHBOR called 911?
A kid was that sick that he died and his parents did not take him to the dr or hospital?
So basically, anyone with old inherited actual SILVERWARE would be doing ourselves a favor and using it to eat with, right?
number one, you do not need to rush to the doctor for mild symptoms....its best to stay home, rest, take fluids, aspirin as needed...people are clogging up ER's and drs offices when space is needed for those that are hit hardest...
number two, don't expect Tamiflu to be a cure...its not, not even close...
and number three, shortness of breath is a sign to hit the ER...continued fast heart rate, and you just are unable to feel better...
the ones who are the sickest are those who are smokers...COPD with the flu is not pretty...
stop smoking...
I have a friend who was fine on a Saturday and in intensive care on the next Tuesday and on a respirator for 3 days, then in a room for 3 more days.
