Dutch Spies Infiltrated Russian Hacking Unit Before DNC Attack
PJMedia ^ | 01/26/2018 | Bridget Johnson

Dutch intelligence services had eyes and ears for years on the Russian outfit that hacked the Democratic National Committee, even infiltrating a surveillance camera at the Cozy Bear headquarters and recording hackers' faces, Dutch media reported.

That trove of intelligence gathered by the Netherlands since 2014 has been crucial to the U.S. investigation into the Russian campaign influence operation, the reports from Nieuwsuur and Volkskrant said.

Cybersecurity company CrowdStrike reportedly first noticed the DNC hack by two Russian intelligence groups on June 14, 2016; CrowdStrike CTO Dmitri Alperovitch wrote in a blog post at the time that they were called upon by the DNC to investigate a suspected breach and "immediately identified two sophisticated adversaries on the network – COZY BEAR and FANCY BEAR."

"In fact, our team considers them some of the best adversaries out of all the numerous nation-state, criminal and hacktivist/terrorist groups we encounter on a daily basis. Their tradecraft is superb, operational security second to none and the extensive usage of ‘living-off-the-land’ techniques enables them to easily bypass many security solutions they encounter," Alperovitch said. "...Both adversaries engage in and are believed to be closely linked to the Russian government’s powerful and highly capable intelligence services."

According to the Dutch media report, Dutch intelligence agency AIVD first hacked into Cozy Bear, situated in a university building next to Moscow's Red Square, in summer 2014. About 10 hackers were there at any given time, and the Dutch hacked into a security camera showing who entered and exited the room. Pictures were taken of all visitors; these were compared to images of known spies.

According to the MSM-Democrats, this is somehow Donald Trump’s fault.

So now they are trying to divert away from the Russians, to those stealthy Dutch, so as to distance from the real HRC/Obummer administration misdeeds (crimes) regarding our uranium and Russia.

Snort. Dirty dossier...

If the EU had its mitts in this, Trump will have them by their short hairs.

IF - and that’s a great big IF - the Russians hacked the DNC servers, why did the DNC refuse to provide the servers to the FBI? Instead, the DNC relied on “forensic experts” from CrowdStrike, a Perkins-Coie- and FusionGPS-affiliated company. Members of another company, VIPS, founded by former NSA, FBI and CIA forensics specialists, looked at the Wikileaks data and concluded that the download rate could not have been achieved over the ‘net from an overseas location. Just to be fair, some VIPS personnel disagreed with the conclusions contained in the VIPS report.

It is the essence of fake news. Co-mingle facts and fantasy and create talking points using the factual parts to mislead. I am surprised they didn’t say the Russians used a spyware program that enables high download speeds to spoof a local USB data transfer.

The original dossier was compiled on Hillary Clinton’s criminal collusion with the Russian companies and political masters.

When Obama won, the dossier was filed away.
When Trump looked like he might win, Obama/Hillary/McCain/etc. had the dossier sent to Steele and rewritten.

The FBI then presented it to Trump and warned him that this was the kind of stuff that COULD come his way. Which they could PREVENT if he just....

He said no. Everything since is a result of this.

I don’t believe any of this. Does not pass the smell test.

Crowd strike is covering for a customer.

The DNC thing was not a Russian Attack, it was in house.

But WHY would the 'russians' care to download that info ? It's not like the Russians and every other country on the planet don't know that US ELECTIONS have been a farce for years.

And the fact that the EU is assisting with damage control argues, to my mind anyway, for the EU being complicit.

FWIW, we don’t know any of that for certain yet.

True. But EVERY SINGLE ONE OF OUR POLITICIANS KNOW.

Obama did have 'opposition research' conducted on Hillary.

The FBI did meet with Trump and show him the 'dossier'. This all a matter of record.

Like I said, everyone but US CITIZENS know that US ELECTIONS have been corrupt for years. Those nations have been taking advantage of it, for years. Gotta keep those climate change funds from the US coming into their coffers.

We know for a fact that the 'dossier' was taken out of the country, rewritten, and then returned to us.

WHY would it need to be 're-written' by Steele or anyone?
