Now they're in the unenviable position of running against the guys who just delivered an economic boom to their constituents.
Someone in that party has to grab the controls and steer their ship back to reality, or they're toast for at least the next decade. Maybe forever.

I long to see a day when elections are not about who postures the best, but about who is actually most qualified for the job. And when politics becomes a discussion of what works best, rather than the promotion of a narrative that has little resemblance to reality.
