During the 8 years of Obozo I received about $30-35 dollars a month increase in my social security cola increases. Inflation was at least twice what the amount of our percentage increase was, so don’t believe anything the Dumbocrats say about the lousy $1000 to 2500 bonuses and raises in wages that are all because of our great MAGA President.
The period where working-class Americans were represented by the Democratic Party...came and went in the 1980s and 1990s. There’s no party platform or engagement angle that benefits the average working-class guy in America within the Party. I think Trump simply swooped in and laid out some path for working-class folks....didn’t matter if they were Republican or Democrat.
For Pelosi and crew...utterly lost on some perspective of just regular working people.

At LEAST I would say also, I actually think it was WELL over twice. I can’t believe how many people accept the official inflation figures as gospel. I am 73 and I clearly recall when men supporting families were very happy to earn as much as one dollar per hour. Now you could earn twenty an hour or even more and struggle to survive depending on where you live.
IIRC, Obama did NOT give a penny in 4 of those 8 years. In his last year, he gave us .3 %. POINT THREE PERCENT. He gave the Federal employees 2 & 1/2 percent, while we got .3
I don’t know where he thinks WE buy our gas—milk-bread-clothes-electricity-etc. that we only needed .3%.
He was a complete piker when taking care of Soc Sec recipients. Then he managed the “Great Car Crushing” of the country- and that absolutely hampered us to get parts off of scrapped/salvaged cars. He wanted them crushed.
