Part of the price paid by the Democrats to get out of the hole they dug for themselves when they forced the shutdown was the suspension of three onerous Obamacare taxes — the medical device tax, the tax on premium (Cadillac) health plans, and the health insurance (HIT) tax. All three were wildly unpopular with the voters, due to go into effect imminently, and would have made medical care even more expensive.

Of special interest to me is how it is now President Trump and Company are currently the "white hats" in the eyes of the unions for offsetting the hatted "Cadillac tax".

I think the Democrats, RINO’s, GOPe (do I repeat myself?) and the rest of the Washington establishment were planning to “roll” DJT like they did President Carter (to name but one).
Over the last year, I have been impressed by how fast President Trump and his team of advisers have learned and mastered the games they play in Washington.
Mr. Trump continues to bring a breath of fresh air to our Republic. We are sure to lose some battles going forward but I think we will have much more “winning” coming our way. Aside, On your "about" page I enjoyed reading R. Kipling's quotes. They do give some guidance on how to make ones way through life.

Agreed, Bush 43 would have already caved, along with his father. Reagan had stones but that was 40 years ago. People don’t know how good they have it. Of course, some people who say “not enough” are simply trying to prep the political battlefield and muster troops.
General Kelly is who Trump turns to when he feels weak and has doubts. Then Kelly gives him a pep talk. Trump needs this due to being under psychological assault by media and Dems. And Mueller. Trying to induce a mental breakdown.

Being a savior to union demands are now conservative? Unions are the very antithesis of conservative. The Trillion dollar stimulus will be another union bow. I say enough Union bowing.
And worse money managers are pouring billions of their retirement pay into the “union” stock market. Automatic bailout if a major correction.
