Senate Fails to Pass 20-Week Abortion Ban
NRO ^ | 1/29/18 | Alexandra Desanctis

The Senate failed this evening to pass the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which would’ve banned abortions after 20 weeks, after Democrats filibustered the bill. In a 51–46 vote, the bill failed to make it out of debate and to a final floor vote.

May the judgement of God be swift and complete on those evil & wicked baby killers. The very bottom of hell for all eternity is waiting for those who kill innocent children and do not repent.

And how did Durbin vote --

Durbin quote on abortion in 1982
My record of opposition to abortion on demand has been public record for eight years. Long before my opponent moved to this district I worked closely with Springfield Right-toLife and served as master of ceremonies at the annual banquet. As recently as this January I was honored to serve again as Master of Ceremonies at the annual Observance in the State Capitol for the fifth time.

So, it is interesting to see that Planned Parenthood, perhaps the most unbending, rigid outfit when it comes to demand an absolute right for a woman to have an abortion without any attempt to balance a child's right to life, is presenting Durbin with a "Lifetime Achievement Award." Durbin also stated. ---A right to abortion is not secured by this Constitution. The Congress and the several States shall have concurrent power to restrict and prohibit abortions. Provided, That a provision of law of a state which is more restrictive than a conflicting provision of a law of Congress shall govern.

The GOP doesn’t have 60 votes in the Senate.

Until either that happens or the nuclear option is employed, bills cannot be passed. Maybe in 2019.

“it is past time to have a conservative party and make the GOP the minority third party”

In theory that would be great. In reality, the Democrats would win even more then they are especially in 2017-2018.

If the LIFE of the UNBORN really mattered to the GOP SENATE, they would have done away with the 60 vote rule.

Tell when there is a good time to start or are you happy with the way things are going. I have been seeing this BS since 92. The GOP is practically worthless. The time to start is when Trump is re-elected and then try to be ready with a president for 2024 when people like Booker and Harris will rum and the re-ubs will have squat

The super majority “rule” of 60 votes for cloture screwed it all up once again. All by design.

The House has been fine. We have some RINOs yes but we have overall a good House that sends good bills. The Senate is the mess. Please understand that we have two parts of the Congress. I think you confuse the two.

Conservatives exist as part of the Republican party

There are not enough conservative purists to support a cable news channel, much less pass a bill in the congress
