The Idiots That Don’t Concede Elections
American Thinker.com ^ | January 30, 2018 | Christopher Chantrill

Back when I was a young man I had a Greek-American friend that taught me Rule One about democratic politics. This was back in the mid-1970s when the Greek colonels had just conceded power back to the center-right party in Greece.

What was needed now in Greece, my friend insisted, was that the center-right party concede power to the center-left party at the next election, and that the center-left party concede the next-but-one election to the center-right party.

Here in America, the Democrats have failed to concede the last two normal change elections that went against them: the 2000 presidential squeaker election and the 2016 election.

But you will search long and hard among your liberal acquaintance for anyone that understands how serious this is.

Now we have a piece on “This Civil War” from Daniel Greenfield, a speech given to the Tea Party convention of South Carolina. When you have a party that doesn’t concede elections then you have a civil war, he says. How do you know you have a civil war?

Two or more sides disagree on who runs the country. And they can’t settle the question through elections because they don’t even agree that elections are how you decide who’s in charge.

That’s the basic issue here. Who decides who runs the country? When you hate each other but accept the election results, you have a country. When you stop accepting election results, you have a countdown to a civil war.

Moving on, Greenfield says there are two kinds of government. You can have a “voluntary government” or a “professional government.”

"Anybody not willing to accept the results of an election is a danger to democracy" -- Hillary Clinton.

By her own admission, Hillary is a danger to democracy.

Yes the Leftists are bad, but the NeverTrumpers come in a close second.

They would have gladly accepted Hillary as president, so long as Trump didn’t get in.

Such a good article, but then he says he votes for the out party after two terms just because he thinks transfer of power is important. It is, but that doesn’t mean you vote for the socialist because you had 8 years of greatness under a free market capitalist. Besides, Bush I was a transfer to the other party when he was elected—the other party is the establishment. Those are the two parties, the people and the establishment.

The trick going forward is to have a great follow up to a great Republican President, a Trump or a Reagan to follow a Trump or a Reagan. If we have an establishment mole follow Trump, we will restart the slow slide that Bush I started. What Pence is, I am not sure, but we need to be 100 percent sure about whoever follows. It will take another 8 years after Trump to completely restore the Republic. That’s OUR 16 year plan.

Because of people like Hillary. Liberals do not want democracy, that is the problem. They think they know the world, they think there are better systems. They think abject tyranny can be done the “right” way. Our Founding Fathers predicted this when they said freedom can be sold for the promise of security. Liberals are so easily fooled into throwing all of your freedom away for an illusion that they find appealing. Like taking candy from a stranger.

I am a “Never Hillary”
I accept Trump as President, so long as Hillary didn’t get in
I understand the phenomenon

I am trying to warm up to Trump, but it is a struggle

So the guy is telling us that he would vote for an obama level creature simply to swap out ideologies, for the health of the system?

Yikes!

The USA is a global empire, and the vast wealth and debt our government redistributes in our printed, fiat, unbacked Federal Reserve currency, has become so large, that the stakes are, simply, HUGE.

And like any stories you hear from historical Rome, or China, or France, people will do incredible or unbelievably evil things, to grasp at that power.

In the 18th century, the USA hadn’t even finished exploring its own borders and the Federal Government was about 2% of the US economy. A citizen could approach the White House, and go knock on its front door. Gentlemanly transfers of power in such an environment are relatively easy.

The same idiots that can never be wrong, that blame everybody and everything else for their own errors, that cannot engage in civil and honest discourse, that name call and demonize opponents, that lie a lot, that live by emotion instead of logic and truth, and that want to indoctrinate our children.

Democrats, progressives, liberals, social Marxists, feminists, NEA, BLM, CAIR, etc.

The koolaid-drinkers, perhaps, but the politicians know exactly what they're doing. I guarantee you, if I'm to be forced to live under a single party state, it isn't going to be the Demagogic ****ing Party.

Hillary Clinton actually exposed the biggest flaw in the Democrat/liberal approach to politics.

These losers were perfectly willing to support a candidate who would have been nearly identical to what George W. Bush was in the White House ... a big-government globalist owned by Wall Street and foreign interests.

“It was in 1992, when I was 46, after the Democrats had lost three elections in a row, that I decided that starting right now I was going to start voting for the out party after two successive presidential terms. Because democracy. Hey, you get to vote for a lot of winners that way: Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump!”

Soured what seemed to be a good article for me.

After several years of real stinkers like Clinton & Obama,I didn’t see conservatives raising a stink to the extent the liberals are now. We had to put up with it & live through it. That should tell you something about the relative values of the two groups. Considering what we had gone through with Obama, there was likely good cause for that man to have been arrested & prosecuted, but I didn’t see conservatives carrying it to the extent that the liberals do now;especially considering what this president has to done to bring the country around to a much better course than what it was on.
