No one wants to see The Swamp drained more than I do, but I have a sneaking suspicion we may have built this up in our minds to be more than it really is.

Seen too many “bombshells” turn out to be duds.

I'd like to see it then too but that would give the news coordinators at the deep state a chance to redirect the narrative for the weekend.

However, a Friday morning "breaking news" event would excite the talking heads so much they wouldn't be able to stop themselves from talking about it.

"In the meantime, there's a budget to pass. "

Nah.

The SOTU speech so wore them out that they have fled to a retreat to recover....BTY, you're paying for it.

Probably just means that the WH will do the releasing rather than waiting for Congress to do it.

My understanding is that the WH will give their approval and the HPSCI will release the memo by publishing it in the Federal Register.

Damn, and I let my subscription lapse in November.

Press Releases:

Nunes Statement on FBI, DOJ Objections to Release of HPSCI Memo!

Washington, January 31, 2018:

House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes issued the following statement today:

“Having stonewalled Congress’ demands for information for nearly a year, it’s no surprise to see the FBI and DOJ issue spurious objections to allowing the American people to see information related to surveillance abuses at these agencies. The FBI is intimately familiar with ‘material omissions’ with respect to their presentations to both Congress and the courts, and they are welcome to make public, to the greatest extent possible, all the information they have on these abuses. Regardless, it’s clear that top officials used unverified information in a court document to fuel a counter-intelligence investigation during an American political campaign. Once the truth gets out, we can begin taking steps to ensure our intelligence agencies and courts are never misused like this again.”

I went to the HPSCI site earlier today and saw that.

Thx for posting it here, Dave.

I can't wait to read the real memo. Might even print it out and frame it.

It is my understanding that they will publish the "memo" on the Federal Register, but I went to the HPSCI site to see if they had explained when they might do that. They hadn't, but they did make this great statement, the text of which you just posted.

This is an exciting week.

As an aside, this is a good time to be alive and to be old.

We are wise enough (we conservatives, that is) to enjoy watching the manure hitting the fan.

Yes, enjoyment time. We are enjoying every minute and the other side is in severe mental and physical pain every minute of each day and night!
