For those who follow Gowdy, this is no surprise.
Trey Gowdy for all his talent as a great prosecutor, has never displayed a commiserate measure of ambition, for power. His chairmanships have come from his gift for prosecutory accomplishment and oratory.
Two years ago, (before “Q” suggested that resignations and retirements may be suspicious) there was a spread on Gowdy, wherein, he said then that he didn’t know that he would run for re-election.
Gowdy’s net worth is somewhere in the neighborhood of VP BIDEN.... like, unimpressive. Interesting, considering his talent and expertise.
Trey rocks. I’m sorry to lose him, actually. He is straight as an arrow, means no harm, and was a legal eagle’s legal eagle, and a constitutionalist’s constitutionalist.
I predicted here on FR a while back we wouldn't recognize the House and Senate in 19'. I can't remember if I said 20 to 80 new faces, but 20% of 535 is 107ish, It is possibly not out of the question. LS has noted we have begun to see the Dem's throw in the towel or get sucked into their Sexgate issue....
