To say it the way the lawyers have, it is insulting. But may be correct that no real crime has been uncovered except among democrats who have a sick hatred of President Trump.
It is time for this investigation to be shut down and a new counsel to be appointed to investigate the management and these investigators.

Trump's attorneys would like Mueller’s prosecutors to show that only the President can give them the information they require.
I believe this is a direct reference to illicit FISA surveillance against members of the Trump campaign. Trump's lawyers are giving a big hint here that they know exactly what Mueller got from that FISA surveillance.
They're effectively boxing Mueller in here.

This is absolutely correct.
Just because the opposing candidate and her unidicted co-conspirators concoct a false meme to try to overthrow the winner of an election doesn’t mean they get to go on a fishing expedition with the President of the United States.
Letting Mueller try to diminish the President by treating him the way he treats his usual hapless victims in some cheap entrapment play is not something anyone should let happen.

What about this idea:
Mueller was charged with investigating Russian interference, obstruction, money laundering, etc.
Why not ask Mueller for a proffer, that is, a confidential doc that indicates the strength of any underlying charge?
If there is no serious underlying complaint, why subject Trump to prosecution from a mis-statement?
Otherwise Mueller is just fishing, hoping to get Trump to slip up.
In any case, I would have a pre-interview of submitted written questions first that cover the scope of any possible in-person questioning.
