Every last SOTU speech since Reagan left office has been filled with proposals for big gov't programs where we toss billions of taxpayer dollars at everything under the sun (and crescent moon). Last night's SOTU was the first one in 30 years that was (refreshingly) devoid of that.
The only proposal involving spending was public infrastructure but roads, aitports and waterways benefit every one, not just a select benefit clientele.
And Trump’s promise to reduce RX prices involved no new federal outlay.
His SOTU was devoid of the traditional laundry list of entitlements you expect from a Democratic President.
Instead, it was a celebration of America.
