Know a woman that works at a daycare place. In her class, she had a little boy who ALWAYS wanted to put on a dress — it was in the play clothes they let them wear.
If it was in the wash and he couldn’t wear it that day, he’d start crying. The kid was adopted and the adoptive father was not happy when he found out about him doing that. The kid is no longer in her class; went to another class when he got older. This kid was around the same age, I think, as what you’re describing.
Just bizarre.
