Western Union needs a reaming. Also used for illegal drug purchases abroad (called IOPs online). Many of the IOPs work out of China.....but cloak it from other countries.

At a 2.5% level fee, that would amount to $3.5 billion per year.

Four or five years, you’ve got a pretty good wall paid for.

That money leaves the U.S. permanently, never to return and never to circulate with our own economy.

How can we NOT tax such a financial drain?

A 10% tax would pay for it in 2 years.

It’s their money, they worked for it... except it’s not really, or at least, not completely.

Not if it's illegals. It's not their money. It's stolen from us. And, here in NYC, there are so many "immigrants" committing fraud with food stamps. They sell the food they get for them or otherwise turn the food stamps into cash. They also ship the food to their "home" countries, and the bodegas actively enable them to do so, flouting the law, by selling them the plastic Sterlite containers to pack the food in!

NY Food Stamp Recipients Are Shipping Welfare-Funded Groceries to Relatives in Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Haiti

Kate Briquelet and Isabel Vincent, New York Post, July 21, 2013

Food stamps are paying for trans-Atlantic takeout—with New Yorkers using taxpayer-funded benefits to ship food to relatives in Jamaica, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

Welfare recipients are buying groceries with their Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards and packing them in giant barrels for the trip overseas, The Post found.

The practice is so common that hundreds of 45- to 55-gallon cardboard and plastic barrels line the walls of supermarkets in almost every Caribbean corner of the city.

The United States spent $522.7 million on foreign aid to the Caribbean last fiscal year, government data show.

Still, New Yorkers say they ship the food because staples available in the States are superior and less costly than what their families can get abroad.

“Everybody does it,” said a worker at an Associated Supermarket in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn. “They pay for it any way they can. A lot of people pay with EBT.”

Customers pay cash for the barrels, usually about $40, and typically ship them filled with $500 to $2,000 worth of rice, beans, pasta, canned milk and sausages.

Workers at the Pioneer Supermarket on Parkside Avenue and the Key Food on Flatbush Avenue confirmed the practice.

They said food-stamp recipients typically take home their barrels and fill them gradually over time with food bought with EBT cards.

Don’t disagree with you. Perhaps my initial sentence should have had “It’s their money” in quotes.

Don’t get me wrong. I want strong borders, ICE enforcement, e-verify, an end to birthright citizenship, and an end to chain migration. And, of course, sharp prosecution of welfare frauds.

The point I was making is that, while on the Dem side it’s obviously about the votes, the cheap labor express has a motivation too. Illegal labor is cheap precisely because it shifts costs to the taxpayer. That’s why the illegals can work for lower wages than those who have to pay taxes and be self-supporting.

The food in a barrel trick is one I didn’t know about—thanks for cluing me in.

The United States gave over half a billion ----$522.7 million foreign aid tax dollars----to the Caribbean last fiscal year, government data show.

Yeah, sure.......but how much of that actually got into Caribbean govt coffers?

Let's ask the Congressional Caribbean Caucus----yes, there is a CCC on Capitol Hill......subsidized with our tax dollars.

ITEM---This Congresswoman, from Brooklyn's 9th Congressional District, describes herself as a Caribbean-American. She represents Caribbeans who use welfare funds to send food back to the Caribe (story above).

ITEM---The Caribbean is also notorious for lots of offshore bank havens used by thieves like Madoff for money-laundering and tax evasion. What does Yvette Clarke and the CCC know about that?

They get paid under the table in cash and also get all welfare benefits for imaginary children, free legal representation for the crimes they commit, free education and medical benefits.

Tax that money at 50%.

If anyone doubts that billions are leaving the country via illegals, just stand in line at WalMart at the Customer Service desk and watch how many “wire” money out of the country every payday!! ICE should be at WalMart.

Thank God Trump's our President. If Hillary had been elected she would have been adding to the corruption.
