Presidents don’t win fights with the FBI. Donald Trump apparently wants to learn this lesson the hard way.
Most presidents have had the sense not to bully the FBI by defaming its leaders and — ridiculously — painting its agents as leftist political hacks. Most members of Congress have also understood how unwise it would be to pull such stunts. But Trump and his hapless henchmen on Capitol Hill, led by Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), have chosen the wrong enemy. History strongly suggests they will be sorry.

Trump and his minions seem to think they can out-leak the FBI. Obviously they haven’t been paying attention.

Donald Trump could call Melania a man and the Congress wouldn’t be able to impeach him. The people have Donald’s back.
I suspect he’s had to deal with some pretty shady characters over the years, what with the unions and the mafia around.
He’s not the type of guy to go running scared IMO.

Angels are watching around Donald. I wouldn’t be surprised to see an assassination plot turned on its head with the would be perp badly wounded or killed.
A feckless bunch too. When they don’t have political air they cannot foil a plot that would harm half of America.
So Eugene Robinson said that some judicial interests control our Executive Branch and have therefore overthrown the government. Very interesting. Many others are saying the same with a maniacal satisfaction and the bizarre delusion that the situation will continue for long.

Donald Trump gave up an awful lot to put himself and his family in harms way.
I thought I had seen the best world leaders possible in Pope John Paul, Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan....but I was mistaken. Trump is a cut above, a man that I believe is called of God for these dangerous times.
He was an unlikely choice, a flawed man to be sure...but we are ALL flawed!
I believe Trump is a penitent man, a man who has humbled himself before God.
No matter what happens in the future. I will always be proud that I was given the privilege to vote for Donald Trump.
No matter how long I live, I will never forget what he has done and is doing for us all.
Yeah, I wouldn’t put anything past the Left at this point

The FBI has more lies to leak than Trump has truths to tell. I think that is what this amounts to.

The attempt to filth Donald back will backfire
I’m just in perpetual numb shock...
The idea that the bureau and assorted intel agencies can use power given them by the executive and congressional branches to stop anyone in their way is apparently accepted in D.C. Robinson isn’t speaking here of the rule of law or equal justice. He’s speaking of raw power.
It’s a crisis alright, but not, as Leon Panetta said today, a “constitutional crisis”, but one of tyrannical rule by some agencies designed to protect us. They have become our enemy. They despise the citizen.
