Trump is hard to swallow for some, especially because of his rough origins. Shouldn’t a good president be more refined, his history of more probity? Why should we believe a sudden burst of optimism that came out of nowhere that we can trace would propel a person such that Donald Trump was into a stellar course?

And yet... it did. Some skepticism to Donald is understandable. Some skeptics simply didn’t believe a good president would come out of such a dicey mold. But when it’s God who poured him into that mold, all the rules are broken.

It’s parallel in some ways to the story of Jesus. We hear about the manger bed so often that it’s old hat. But the Jews expected a big shot messiah. Not this “redneck” homebrew preacher guy. But God says hold My wine and watch this....
