Rep. Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, blasted Republicans on Friday over their decision to push for the release of a classified memo alleging abuses of a key surveillance law and blocking the analysis compiled by Democrats.
"This is designed to impugn the credibility of the FBI, to undermine the investigation, to give the president additional fodder to attack the organization and it's a tremendous disservice to the American people who are going be misled by this," the California Democrat said in an interview with "CBS This Morning."

"The reality is there is no demonstration in this memo, in this misleading memo, of systemic abuse at the FBI as has been posited by the president and his allies"... Schiff said that there is "no evidence of a corrupt effort to obtain warrants against people in the Trump campaign."

I read Schiff’s response yesterday. It was truly amazing because he in no way stated or implied that there was anything else to justify the Page warrant than the dossier. In fact his defense was: we didn’t show the dossier to the court, only snippets. That’s much worse you idiot! Then he claimed there was “corroborating” evidence. That’s worse too, it means they only had the planted news articles, not independent evidence.
The FBI was doomed when jOkeass appointed Eric the Red AG.
Before Monday, the Democrats on The Hill along with their media, will be screaming about another Red Herring that is about to end everything.
Anyone recall the BS the media threw out there when the FBI COINTELPRO operation was uncovered?? Of course the target of that operation was leftist groups and commies. Today, when the FBI is caught red (no pun) handed launching a specious investigation of a candidate crickets except a media defending what the FBI was doing.
So, the government was so concerned about Trump to initiate a false narrative of his campaign supported by the Ruskies. Did the government care to ever take a prospective look at candidate brown bomber say in 07 as he began his run?? I guess we know the answer as he arrived on the scene and caused 8 years of havoc.
