And if your business can't afford to allow for the normal impediments of life in the people you hire, it's just like a person who leverages every nickel they have to get the biggest house possible...you should loose it. You have no business involving other people in your self-centered success fantasies.

Get your analogies right. Robin Hood stole from the rich to give to the poor, making everyone a slave to HIM. What you're advocating is servitude for the sake of maximum organizational efficiency; how is that better than Robin Hood?
