He’s looking for a judgeship and doesn’t want to burn any bridges. Mueller has a lot of (corrupt) friends in the legal world.

Maybe he is setting Muller up and allowing him a way out by doing the truthful findings.

Because he's an idiot and because he's leaving, now feels "free" to say what he REALLY thinks?

He's being paid, is being blackmailed, has lost his mind, was never who we all thought he was?

One of those q threads said Mueller is actually uncovering the corruption and the Trump Mueller friction is a ploy so the media has spent all year saying how great Mueller is, when he turns on them they won’t have a leg to stand on. For what that theory is worth.

They are putting a wall between the Nunes memo and Mueller for a good reason.

For one thing, it insulates Nunes and the HPSCI from allegations that they released the Nunes memo to undermine the Mueller investigation.

Secondly, there is one person who is now dreadfully exposed in the matter because his signature appears on FISA warrant applications that were used to construct the very "Russian collusion" narrative that led to Mueller's appointment. That person is Rod Rosenstein.

Rosenstein now has to remove himself from any oversight of Mueller because he is clearly a material witness in the matter that Mueller is investigating.

In other words, Rosenstein has to recuse himself for the same reason Sessions did.

Because Robert Mueller visited the White House the day before he was appointed Special Counsel. The cover story was that Mueller was interviewing for a position as FBI Director for which he was not eligible. He was given a choice to come back to the White Hat side. The plan was to use the Special Counsel’s office as a sting on the Deep State Lawyers.

President Trump was going to call it a “Witch Hunt” because that is what it was: Hunting the Witch Hillary and her merry coven.

Here is Tracy Beanz latest speculation about Papadopoulous (P-doc) and his role in all this.

Because his masters (not the American people) are telling him to. I suspect they think that his statements will calm the anger of conservatives or something so they can salvage the Mueller-led lynch party.

It would be better if Mueller shut his probe down himself. Basically he can double down and follow the others into the pit or pretend he was doing legit work and close it. He know what is out there and congress just showed they can expose it too.

I think he knows that Mueller is ultimately going to clear Trump. When it happens, he wants to be able to crow about it. If you spend your time trashing Mueller, you’re going to look like a hypocrite if you later reverse.

It could be many reasons, but it reads like a warning.

Things are NEVER what they appear to be. Mueller is guilty as sin. Up to his eyeballs in Uranium-1. Gowdy surely knows it, as well as when the boom will be lowered on Mueller. So Gowdy, on his way out the door, paused a moment to blow a little smoke up Mueller’s aah, er, shall we say, up his transom.

They obviously have something on Gowdy. Like probably 100 others in Congress. And several Supreme Court Justices. And 1000 other judges.

God Sessions needs to be fired so bad, and a pitt bull with aids replacement sworn in. Enough of this crap. We want our friken country back!!!

*Why is he saying this ?*

To undo everything he ever did and leave this for us to remember him by!

What a disappointment!

He was the best interrogator in congress.. but this statement makes him look ignorant/biased/a-democrat!
