Haley slams Russia at GOP retreat

US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley slammed Russia at the GOP retreat in West Virginia on Thursday, definitively telling Republican lawmakers that Moscow "is not, will not, be our friend."

"As long as their government has the values that it has, and as long as it conducts itself the way it does internationally," Haley said. Haley made it very clear that Russia meddled in the 2016 US election but also noted that "there is no reason to think the Russian interference made any difference between who won and lost."

She’s right. And the harder we are on Putin the better it is for the Russian people and the future of that whole region in the long run.

Haley the neocon is just fellow S Carolinian Lindsey Graham in a dress. Actually, has anyone seen them together at the same time on the same room?

Yes, we need a new cold war, or better yet, a hot one.

I’ll give you that Haley likely has neoconservative sympathies. And that she was a Trump skeptic/Rubio supporter.

Doesn’t change the fact that Putin is bad news and is out Neo-Conning *himself* with all his little foreign interventions which one by one are backfiring. (Watch the protests in Iran especially that will be the game-changer of the decade.)

He’s doing exactly what he’s accusing the Bush/Obama Admin of doing, only worse — as his country’s economy is far weaker. And he can only distract his population for so long.

Thank you. That's a great example of why "the Russian interference" didn't make "any difference between who won and lost."

So how to prove the so called “Russian interference” didn’t make any difference between who won and lost?

Easy. You prove it by polling the voters in the swing states and asking them their reasons for voting for Trump. Likely won’t get surprising answers, just the basics of his platform.

My friend, Russia will play no part in our destruction. Americans will do that to themselves. Russia will be a bit actor in the play. Have you not been paying attention to the news the last week?

So you want this country to rot from within with the KGB copycats in our Deep State —> and have the world in Putin and Xi Jinping’s hands as they entertain sick fantasies of our downfall?

No. We strengthen from within AND from without. We stop ridiculous trade with China and we stop pretending like Russia has the same values as we do.

because* if it’s anybody that has “Putinist” values in our country, it’s our FBI, Media, Democrats, and Deep State. And it’s already bad enough to have the ones inside doing damage. Why invite more from abroad?

Your argument is confusing

We have the makings of a potential Soviet-style KGB with the deep state within the USA. Their main cover and narrative over at least the last 18 months is that Russia is a dangerous opponent who has committed acts of war against the USA by somehow meddling in our election.

So to protect our democracy from our own deep state, let’s indeed declare Russia a threat, as America’s own deep state wishes.

??

As I titled my little vanity quip on FR yesterday “cognitive dissonance” - don’t let the American Deep State’s use of “Russia, Russia, Russia” make you lose your perspective on *actual* Russia.

*Actual* Russia is still bad. It’s where the art of KGB-cheating is gate-kept for perpetuity.

So how to prove that “their reasons
for voting for Trump” were not supplied by Russians?

And how to prove that “their reasons for not voting for Hillary” were not supplied by Russians?

Because even when you look at the ads or whatever Russian trolls put up they were meant to incite things like racial chaos.

I highly doubt you’ll go to sweet mom and pop voter in Ohio that will say “we voted for Trump because we’re members of the KKK.” — No: maybe they are pro-life. Maybe they want tax cuts. Maybe their healthcare costs are too high. Maybe they’re under-employed because of jobs going to China. Maybe they like Trump’s border wall idea.

Russians aren’t THAT clued into the hearts and minds of average Americans to be honest.

Or in other words:

1) Indeed America is a swamp that must be drained. The draining starts here.

2) But the whole world is a swamp. The Putins and Xi Jinpings of the world are leeches who need swamps to thrive.

Why else were so many Russian oligarchs able to stash so much cash in Western globali$t banking establishments?

3) The less of a swamp we are, the less scum leaders like them can feed on.

4) Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuckin’s mantra is “What’s good for America is good for the world.” - I agree.

When America cleans up, the world cleans up.
