Having lived in Anchorage, and on exceptionally clear days enjoying a view of Denali, the great one on the northern horizon, It was always a sight to behold, a mountain, some 130 miles away visible as it was.
It was Denali in the words of the local people long before the 25th president was even thought of. The temporary name was an affront to true Alaskans.
