Stand-up team: No Philadelphia Eagles players knelt for national anthem in 2017
Washington Times ^ | Thursday, February 1, 2018 | Valerie Richardson

If you’re planning to watch the Super Bowl but you can’t stand the NFL take-a-knee protests, you may want to root for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Not a single Eagles player sat or knelt during the national anthem, one of just seven teams with perfect non-kneeling records, in a season that saw 684 such incidents, according to a study released Thursday by Sports Pundit.

The other Super Bowl LII team, the New England Patriots, landed in the middle of the pack with 17 incidents of anthem sitting or kneeling, wedged between the Buffalo Bills with 16 and the Cleveland Browns with 20.

Still, neither of the Super Bowl teams was in any danger of catching the leader: the Seattle Seahawks, which easily scored the most episodes of sitting or kneeling with 156, followed by the San Francisco 49ers with 110.

Both of those teams play in the NFC West. Oddly enough, the division’s other two teams — the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams — had zero take-a-knee protests.

Quarterback Tom Brady had a MAGA cap in his locker during the primaries. He has played golf with (then) private citizen Donald Trump in recent years.

Team owner Robert Kraft is a supporter of Trump and gave $1 million for his inaugural festivities.

Coach Belichick endorsed candidate Donald Trump in the fall of 2016 at a rally in New Hampshire.

A number of the black players, however, have taken a knee from time to time.....kneegroes.

P.S.: My family’s attorney here in Maine, a man whose family have lived in Maine for generations, is a staunch Yankees fan. He even has a big Yankees team logo on the back window of his SUV.

By the way, there is a 100 year old woman who lives in a brand new assisted living facility not far from me here in Maine. She is a big New England Patriots fan.

Tom Brady was told about this woman a year or two ago and Brady sent the woman a huge box of Patriots memorabilia, including signed items. It was a story on the local TV news here at the time.

Yep, I’m a Brady fan. I’m not watching the game, but I hope the Patriots win.

Several Eagles players did the racist Black Power salute, and two players said they wouldn’t go to the White House if they won — before the game!

Their sleazy owner defended the America Haters. That's all you need to know.

I know this because I had been a life long Giants fan (going back to their time at the Polo Grounds). The Giants were scheduled to play the hated Eagles in Week Three. When I heard then that one of the Maras (Family that owns the Giants) defended the America Haters, right then and there, I resolved to root for the Eagles.

But before kickoff, I heard that the Eagles owner had done the same thing. I haven't watched a minute of NFL Football since. (FTR, I would guess that I averaged eight to ten of NFL watching since the advent of Monday Night Football, unless I was attending one of the games).

The news about the Phillys ALMOST swayed me to go ahead and watch tonight, but then the article and its mentioning of Fist Raising Malcolm Jenkins stiffened my back. He is the player of the Eagles team who orchestrated the extortion of the $89 million dollars for their SJW activities. And if I watch tonight, my set box will notate that I have done so to the NFL and their sponsors. They HAVE to know that I and many other REAL long-time, dedicated NFL fans will NOT put up with these millionaires hijacking OUR national game for their purely political (and racist) posturing.

No watching these over-paid ingrate felons here. To watch is to support anti-Americanism. Wake up...leave your addiction behind. There are many good things to occupy your time.

With regard to the Anthem, The Eagles are the patriots and the Patriots are the traitors.
A fitting end to the season.
...
Just a reminder Brady and Belichek are PDJT fans...Someone post the Pic of Brady reading Larry’s book on how Trump won.

Yup! They’re incredible. So glad they stand for our anthem. :) Praise GOD.

They do kneel though...but to GOD in PRAYER.

And yet they have adopted a rap song by Philly native Meek Mills for their team theme song. “Dreams and Nightmares” glorifies the gangster lifestyle.

Chris Long’s SJW regurgitation/refuse to acknowledge President Trump, makes this whole article a moot point.

Ah, No.

“Eagles players who have protested over the past year include Jenkins, safety Rodney McLeod, defensive ends Chris Long and Steven Means and former cornerback Ron Brooks. The players followed the lead of former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who sat and then kneeled during pregame anthems last season”

I read in USA Today that Malcolm Jenkins raised his fist during the national anthem and whined about injustice.

The Eagles also have about 20 evangelicals on their team.

I love Brady, and yes, he is a friend of the President.

There is good and bad on every team.

Some good. We should note that. There are born again Christians on both teams tonight.

The fact that we even have to acknowledge something like this while commendable as it may be is a reflection of the sad times in which we live.

Jenkins a BLM punk. He also gave his super bowl tickets to a murderer. BUT the Eagles also have some great men of faith on the team.
