Two shows currently streaming on Netflix delve into the damaging, aggressive and unthinkable mind-control experiments the CIA undertook during the Cold-War era

Maybe Donald Trump is paranoid for thinking there’s been a conspiracy against him within the FBI.

And maybe Joseph Heller was right that “(j)ust because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t after you.” Especially where the government is concerned.

There are two shows currently streaming on Netflix Canada that make this point.

The programs occupy different genres, focus on different eras, and use different pacing for the telling of their different stories. Manhunt: Unabomber is a sensitive fictionalized dramatization of the FBI’s hunt for domestic terrorist Ted Kaczynski in the 1990s. Wormwood is an eerie Errol Morris docudrama that investigates the untimely 1953 death of CIA biological warfare scientist Frank Olson.

Both series draw attention to a chilling piece of history

We all know how Manhunt ends. We don’t get full answers to the Wormwood mystery and probably never will.

But both series draw attention to a chilling piece of history: the damaging, aggressive and — ultimately — unthinkable mind-control experiments that the CIA undertook during the Cold-War era.

In Manhunt, the revelation comes toward the end of the series when an episode is devoted mostly to flashbacks of Kaczynski’s formative years.

Having skipped two grades, a 16-year-old Kaczynski arrives at Harvard as a precocious undergraduate. Already troubled, he volunteers as a subject for an experiment being run by psychology professor Henry Murray, whom he idolizes and trusts.

For the first phase of the experiment, Kaczynski bonds with the professor, sharing his most intimate feelings and ideas. But the sessions eventually turn into episodes of gruelling psychological abuse in which Kaczynski is ridiculed and humiliated, his every thought and belief hurled back at him as evidence

Having not known about the CIA's MK Ultra program until this last week, I was encouraged to read "Trance Formation of America" by Cathy O'Brien and Mark Phillips. Having looked into this I am saddened, shocked, and sickened at what has and is transpiring within our "deep state". In my small amount of research, I am now convinced that what we are experiencing is a coordinated attempt to mind control American Masses between the Deep State, Education, Politicians, State Supported Media, and Large Corporations. I know...I know...people are going to call me tin foil hat wearer. No problem, I can take it. But consider the following are all part of the MK Ultra program...

1. Teaching kids Genders are Fluid
2. Teaching kids homosexuality is normal
3. Explosion of pedophilia (much of it is government sponsored)
4. Teaching kids Islam is a religion of peace
5. Use of Psychotropic Drugs for virtually ALL ailements
6. Coercive use of 70 vaccines for children today
7. Educating children that government is the answer, not the problem
8. Teaching kids that "white Christian history" is racist, colonial, and hateful
9. Teaching children to be sexually active
etc...
