Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said Sunday that the U.S. is still considering restricting the sale of oil from crisis-torn Venezuela.
Tillerson said in Argentina's capital that the U.S. wants "free, fair, and verifiable elections" in Venezuela, and wants to apply enough pressure to end the crisis in the South American country. The government there has faced widespread criticism over its decision to push up presidential elections under conditions that opponents say overwhelmingly favor President Nicolas Maduro.

I would settle for free, fair, and verifiable elections in the US.
Sanctions are one thing I’ve totally changed on over the years. They don’t work and punish ourselves & poor people overseas.
Why should we raise oil prices to punish the poor Venezuelans? It’s not going to hurt the regime. Our companies are naturally fleeing that S..hole. Their great winter baseball league is just a shell of its former self. Keep the State Dept. out of it.

I’ve never bought Citgo gas. However I don’t think it matters. I suspect there are plenty of people who will buy there if their prices are one cent below the competition.
