If they had verified intelligence, why did they use a Yahoo News story to support the dossier? Why did they use the dossier at all, knowing that it was Clinton campaign opposition research?

And if they are concerned about revealing sources and methods, shouldn't they be concerned that a former British spy had co-opted their sources and methods?

They’re liars.

The dossier was used and Yahoo article because whatever so-called evidence they had was meager at best.
This is a FISA warrant and has a higher (supposedly) standard for granted a warrant.
