Holocaust denier and neo-Nazi Art Jones is running for Congress in Illinois and he is going to be the Republican nominee for the liberal third congressional district, over the objections of the Illinois Republican Party. The district, which encompasses the southwest side of Chicago and neighboring suburbs, is represented by 7th-term veteran Rep. Dan Lipinski (D-IL). Lipinski is a moderate Democrat who voted against Obamacare in 2010.
Jones is an admitted former leader of the American Nazi Party, a Vietnam veteran, and a retired insurance agent. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, he has tried to run for Congress many times before, without success.
Most recently, the Illinois Republican Party ensured that he was removed from the ballot in 2016 by arranging a legal challenge that found all of his ballot signatures to be invalid. A similar attempt this year has failed, however.
The Republican Party publicly opposes Joness candidacy: The Illinois Republican Party and our country have no place for Nazis like Arthur Jones. We strongly oppose his racist views and his candidacy for any public office, including the 3rd Congressional District, said party chair Tim Schneider in a statement to the Sun-Times.
However, there is nothing the GOP can do to remove him. No other Republican stepped forward to run against the incumbent Democrat in what is presumed to be a safe liberal seat in a tough midterm environment for the GOP.
Joness website (to which Breitbart News will not link) includes a section devoted to questioning the Holocaust. He claims to have supported Donald Trump in 2016, but the UK Guardian quoted him in April 2017 telling a neo-Nazi rally in Kentucky that he regretted his vote for Trump: Im sorry I voted for the son of a bitch, I really am.

So he’s a FORMER LEADER of the American Nazi Party? What’s wrong with that? (Nazis are not good)
There was a FORMER leader of the KKK who as a DEMOCRAT SENATOR was called ‘the conscious of the senate’
Anyone remember Robert KKK Byrd?
What the democrats will really object to is his being a former Vietnam Veteran.
Well, nobody else volunteered to run in a 99.9% Democrat district.
Let meet us posit this query. What speech is not free under the constitution? List in numerical order.
RE: Well, nobody else volunteered to run in a 99.9% Democrat district.
My question is this — HOW does he get to represent the Republican Party? Can’t the representatives of party in that state vote to prevent him from running as a Republican? (using their party name ?).
He knows that he is going to lose, but him running will hurt Republicans in races across the country as The Fake News Media uses this for their propaganda.
Let’s review. Ill-Annoy is full-on dysfunctional. The Ill-Annoy Republican Party is dysfunctional. The Republican Guber freely admits that he is not in charge and will likely be primaried. If you gave the country an enema, the nozzle would be inserted in Ill-Annoy.
The Constitution Party needs to nominate a normal conservative for this seat
Impy should do it
The IL Republican party are idiots.
I agree with you. We need firebrands like’at.
So you think he’s a good guy?
He should be allowed to run, but he should not be the Republican candidate if he is not approved by the Republican Party.
How can they not say, “That is our label and this is what it stands for!” and then sue the snot out of him.
we had an anti-semite in the white house for 8 years. the msm didn’t seem to have a problem with that.
Blues Brothers was a funny movie
you beat me to it
Why isnt Rep Ellison presented with the same type of shocking headlines? Doesnt he subscribe to a religion that divinely advocates for murder, rape, theft, lying, and enslavement?
Unopposed? Wouldn’t their effort to stop his candidacy be better spent trying to find an opponent? /rhetorical
So what if it is a throw-away district ... why concede the field?
Ridiculous that a party “can’t” remove an R from a candidate’s name.
