It is...black children are essentially being treated like slave children by the public school system - which is almost entirely Democrat controlled. In many parts of the South before Emancipation, it was against the law to teach blacks to read and even a capital crime for preachers to evangelize them.

There’s no excuse for the condition of black education now and no excuse for the unions and Democrats who have kept it this way.
