OK, so we have literally thousands of texts between two people having an affair and not one of these texts has anything sexual. You’d expect something like, “I love it when you......” or “you’re so much better than my wife” or “I can’t wait to see you after work so we can....”. Were they really having an affair? Or is this story just that, a story to bring attention to some texts that might be made up. I’m just saying that if evidence of an affair isn’t found then it seems too convenient to have these incredibly damning texts.
Conservative Treehouse suggested that the affair story was their own made up cover for why someone from the FBI and someone from the DOJ were working so closely together. Note that neither has gotten divorced since their own planted news of their own affair became public.
I am sure those type of texts are there, but the DOJ OIG is the one who has the texts (well, the NSA also), and there is no reason to release those (yet). They may be embarrassing to these two love birds, but they have less weight (political and legal) to where this journey is going right now.
The IG has determined which text messages were part of their legal review and which were not. Presumably any purely lovey dovey texts were excluded from review and not released.
All personal texts were not handed over to Congress. I see no reason to make those public but I think a second set of eyes aught to have a look.
Could be they decided to never text anything sexual that might be discovered by a spouse. Actually pretty smart.
Then again, leaving treasonous texts might have been pretty stupid.
great point!! where is evidence that this was an affair? this is just two FIB operatives in a treasonous cabal!!
I agree with you theory that there is no romantic involvement between the 2.
All it was is a criminal conspiracy. The romance angle is a massaging of the message. It is DNC damage control.
