The democrats are planting it ... The deep state wants no sympathy for Carter Page as a victim who was used by them in their FISA game

How does planting information that makes them look even more nefarious help them?

This is how connections made. Too many coincidences and he will have to explain this.

Nearest I can tell is I posted some what-ifs and pure speculative thinking regarding Page as a willing or unwilling dupe pf the FBI/Deep State. All based on what I remembered during the campaign. It was a very short period of time and he was disavowed within a month from the campaign because he had been bragging about his contacts to Trump. I even remember some of the media making issue about his russian connections much like they did with Manafort. Then a few days later it started getting legs.

It turned out that Page’s association with the Trump campaign was enough to trigger class 1 FISA warrants — meaning he was a contagion patient zero loosely translated to he came in contact with would automatically fall under the FISA warrants.

Page was investigated as far back as 2013, with no arrest or indictment. I’m sure it happens all the time, people investigated and never charged, but I’m equally sure that some of those people don’t get charged publicly because they get flipped and become CI’s.

Carter Page may have been an FBI/Deep State pretext reason for monitoring Trump either to initiate or to justify spying on Trump because it looks like the FISA was initially declined but the went ahead and tapped into his campaign anyway.

The idea has to be thoroughly vetted and is not easily dismissable just out of hand.

Arms Control Action Officer

As a retired O-6 let me suggest that no self-respecting stand-up military officer ever wants to be an "action officer" in the Pentagon. This means you are a gofer on some large bureaucratic staff tracking meetings and memos and coordination groups and the processes by which to formualate decision memoranda for things that won't be decided until two administrations from now.

That was also my first impression, but watch it again after reading the CTH article labeling him a UCE. Pay attention to the second half where Laura mentions him at a meeting in Hawaii, he changed demonstrably from that point on. His last point was probably most telling, he’s a pro.

One clue about deciphering the swamp. The longer the title, the less you should be impressed. Titles that matter are Secretary, Director, President, Commander. Anything longer and the incumbant cannot even explain to zirselves what ze do, much less can ze explain it to anyone else.

Then you get down to staff scientist, program manager, engineer, special agent, or some such and now you are at the working level professionals - the folks that actually do anything, to the extent that anyone in the swamp does anything.

Everything else, and that is about 90% of the swamp is just useless churn.

If just 10% of the stuff about Carter Page is true, then there will be memo's and emails about planting this mole/double-agent into the Trump campaign. That will be the smoking gun that will upset the nation.

Those actual facts do not preclude him from working as an agent, in fact those quals Silverleaf posted are exactly the things that the FBI/CIA look for in a recruit.

remember not only did Page tell Staphanopolous that he had never had a conversation with President Trump, but...

30 May 2017: Daily Caller: Chuck Ross: Nixon’s Son-In-Law Explains Why He Referred Carter Page To Trump Campaign
In an ironic twist, Carter Page’s involvement in John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign was one of the reasons he was referred to the Trump campaign last year.
So says Ed Cox, the chairman of the New York Republican Party and son-in-law of Richard Nixon.

“I know him from the McCain campaign, he’s a good Republican,” Cox, who chaired McCain’s 2008 effort, told The Daily Caller on Tuesday of Page, a short-lived and controversial Trump campaign policy adviser...
