Life is precious not because everyone is beautiful, athletic, physically healthy or strong, or highly intelligent. Some people are none of those. Life is precious because it is a gift from God - and only He can take it away*. Why do people want death? The only reason I can think of is they hate the Author of Life.
*(other than deserved legal death penalties.)

I do think that there are people who hate God, the Author of Life. Their malice --- I don't understand it. I can't grasp it at all.
