Intersectionality

Intersectionality is a theory which considers that the various aspects of humanity, such as class, race, sexual orientation and gender, do not exist separately from each other, but are complexly interwoven, and that their relationships are essential to an understanding of the human condition. When systems of justice or other entities attempt to look at each aspect in isolation, then misconceptions may occur and essential understandings may be lost. The theory proposes that individuals think of each element or trait of a person as inextricably linked with all of the other elements in order to fully understand one's identity.

You mean the geniuses in the socialist studies departments have finally discovered that each person is a unique INDIVIDUAL with his own set of special circumstances, needs, interests, desires, etc?

Thing is they go a lot further when they suggest that “When systems of justice or other entities attempt to look at each aspect in isolation, then misconceptions may occur and essential understandings may be lost.”

I interpret that as saying that, for example, laws should not be applied equally, that justice should not be blind. In other words a black person committing a crime should perhaps be treated more leniently than a white person committing the same crime, because, you know, slavery.

This turns on its head the very concept of equality under the law and instead takes us straight into “animal farm”, where some animals are more equal than others.

Sadly this is the crap that is being inculcated in our youngs’ heads full of mush.
