I suppose they have to "protect" privacy unless there is a crime that would be concealed by doing do. Or some crime that negates privacy. They conspired to deceive the FISC, so Congress has oversight. They conspired to cheat on their spouses but these days that's not a crime.
Also it might be 50 shades of yuck, can't be read on the radio, etc. I think that would be a distraction from the other serious criminality.
