Ah, but they want to “destroy America” their way. Not Trump’s way.

I beg the feministas, patience patience. Donald Trump was a Democrat not that long ago. He’s got some things to unlearn before he can do a clean job of dismantling the Democrat edifice.

Trump is a lot wetter behind the ears as a born again elephant.

We’re watching a picture evolve here. We’re going to see a lot of sin-to-salvation stories, I believe.

If we stand stiffly and proudly on We’re The Perfectly Right People Right Now, then we’re going to fall too.

God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. The humble can fail without having to wallow in it forever because they are trying to prove themselves right.

I hear a criticism of conservatives that we long for a past that never existed. I think this is partially correct. What we long for is a future derived from a vision from the past not a denial of it.

We need to look afresh at the vision which, partially obeyed and partially disobeyed, drove the best of the past.

I think we’d all do things differently if we could rewind the time machine and go back to the constitutional convention. We wouldn’t be nearly as easy on chattel slavery, for one thing. Even bad old Britain abolished it in 1776 of all years. The historical fix for this, the tumult of the Civil War, gave us all a master we didn’t want, the master of Washington DC.

Just a question, are you saying that because General Kelly has not condemned Porter for the spousal abuse that Porter says did not happen, that Kelly is also guilty of spousal abuse?

Maybe I got the actors mixed up here and if so, mea culpa.

Maybe it’s Porter that the question hangs over, and not Kelly. I don’t believe any transferral like that. If Kelly had problems they are Kelly’s.

Serves me right for believing anything on Facebook if so.

It just seems to me that Democrats opened a can of free-love crap soup a long, long time ago. And now Democrats have some cheek for complaining that everything made with it, even if by Republicans, tastes like crap. The real answer is to clean it up.

The thing I want to beg attention to, no matter WHO might have done it, is whether there’s spousal abuse going on consensually.

It’d be still wrong, it’d be still evil, it might even give rise to blackmail and accusations, but one thing it couldn’t be now (thank you Democrats) is frankly illegal.

We’d need to look to higher law, higher assistance, to combat it.

0bama was the example.

That’s fair enough... if Obama got to be a Johnie-come-lately, then that removed any objection for Trump being similar.

None of this has to spell doom. History isn’t destiny.

You are going to be awfully disappointed, but General Kelly has had only one wife to whom he is still married.

In order to make sure that we can fight the lies being spread every where by all our enemies, let’s make sure we have facts and truth to fight with.

Please see Kaslin’s post 32;

” You are going to be awfully disappointed, but General Kelly has had only one wife to whom he is still married. “

And the article’s explanation of the facts of events,

” So, who is lying here? The ex-wives? Porter? Maybe you feel comfortable crucifying those who choose to believe Porter’s denials, based on their knowledge of him, merely because he was accused. Well, I would expect that from liberals. But if this is now somehow “conservatism,” count me out.

Here’s the issue his White House co-workers faced. Exes lie about each other and make up abuse claims all the time. That may or may not be happening here, but it’s not unreasonable to take that into account when being asked to blackball a co-worker who has demonstrated zero tendency toward such activities in the entire time you worked with him. “

nor do you know his ex wives.
.......................................................
I was not speaking of Kelly. I was speaking of Porter.
Should have read :”nor do you know Porter or his ex wives.

I am a Kelly supporter. I am a Porter supporter until I learn something beyond his being “accused.” Somebody check his ex wives’ bank accounts.

The question of slavery WAS a topic during the Constitutional Convention. A
HOT topic. In order to get the Constitution, the question of slavery was kicked down the road.
