Hey, good news, probably won’t need to drug test. And there will be a lot less welfare fraud.

It is going to be a lot harder to sell basic staples for cash for drugs.

The old formula - buy steaks and lobsters, sell for 50 cents on the dollar, buy drugs - is no longer available.

Because food stamps can be used like money for booze and drugs and keep them dependent on gov’t, rather than actually helping them get out of poverty.

I went to Girl Scout camp and we got “welfare” peanut butter. It was so good, it was sweetened and I wanted to be on welfare so I could get more of that peanut butter.

How are jihadi’s going to fund their terror networks if they can’t use networks of convenience stores as fronts for EBT cash exchanges? Trump is racist enemy of the Profit!!!

IMO, no, drug money. The Dems have been getting money from drug dealers for years. That is why they hate having secured borders.

My wife grew up in Appalachia. If you saw the films in the 60’s and 70’s, that was where she lived. It was such a media event that the government sent food to all those barefoot, thread-bare, toothless hillbilly children through the schools. Church and civic groups sent mission teams and money to serve the poverty-stricken people in Appalachia.

Ironically, at the same time, people in Appalachia were sending mission teams and money to serve the poor in the poverty-stricken cities.

Control, abuse of power, and graft.

Less room for this in a box of cans...

“The old formula - buy steaks and lobsters, sell for 50 cents on the dollar, buy drugs - is no longer available.”

The business model isn’t restricted to just a few products. They actually just sell the amount on the card for 50 cents on the dollar.

I’m sure their argument will be about “dignity”. Which is just a two-faced argument as they’re well aware of the abuses.

Exactly. Complaints about lack of grocery stores in some neighborhoods would stop. Complaints about racist bulletproof glass would cease. Healthy food delivered to your door. In lieu of EBT cards, a family could sign up for Schwann’s or Blue Apron. Win-win. Healthy eating and job creation for the food prep folks, farmers (some local), delivery people, etc.

Wait, what’s the street value of a head of lettuce?
