WHY SUSAN RICE WROTE AN EMAIL TO HERSELF
PowerLine ^ | 2/13/2018 | John Hinderaker

Posted on 02/14/2018 12:17:54 PM PST by mojito

Why did Susan Rice send herself an email purporting to document this part of the meeting? Because she was C’ing her own A. Rice was nervous about the fact that, at the president’s direction, she had failed to “share information fully as it relates to Russia” with President Trump’s incoming national security team. This violated longstanding American tradition. Outgoing administrations have always cooperated in the transition to a new administration, whether of the same or the opposing party, especially on matters relating to national security.

Susan Rice is far from the brightest bulb on the tree, but she was well aware that by concealing facts ostensibly relating to national security from her counterpart in the new administration–General Michael Flynn–she was, at a minimum, violating longstanding civic norms. If she actually lied to Flynn, she could have been accused of much worse....

What were the secrets that Obama wanted to keep from the new administration? We can easily surmise that the fact that the Steele memo was paid for by the Democratic Party; that the FBI had to some degree collaborated with Steele; that the Clinton campaign had fed some of the fake news in the dossier to Steele; and that Comey’s FBI had used Steele’s fabrications as the basis for FISA warrants to spy on the Trump campaign were among the facts that Obama and his minions didn’t want Michael Flynn and Donald Trump to know. Susan Rice, we can infer, was told to keep these secrets, and if anyone ever asked why she had failed to disclose them to Michael Flynn and others on Trump’s team, or even lied to those people, she would have the defense that President Obama ordered her to do it.

I would suggest that this was a “sauve qui peut “ trying to save her behind from eventual testimony under oath.

This violated longstanding American tradition. Outgoing administrations have always cooperated in the transition to a new administration, whether of the same or the opposing party, especially on matters relating to national security.

It's worse than violating a tradition - it's intentionally misleading a duly elected President.

If Rice had said, 'we're not going to tell you squat'... then Trump could have gotten the information from someplace else. But this way he and his people were sabotaged... Were commies in our Government screwing Trump over? Is the Deep State reds?

Maybe this is why President Trump stopped the so-called 'intelligence briefings' during the transition. Said it was the 'same stuff' every day ... The briefers were probably lying too...corrupt liars of the deep state. Were they working for Putin? We have a right to ask too.

Filth cut from the same cloth? Rice, Obama, Brennan, Clinton, Clapper, Brzezinski, John Kerry, Bernie... how many others with commie backgrounds?

Were deep state 'intelligence' working with Russians? Maybe helping Osama Bin Laden get his start with Brennans help? Paving the road for a Saudi attack on 9/11? Who knows what they were up to? No one... but Rice - who often lied for Obama with abandon - wanted a little scrap of protection... and that's telling.

The way emails are captured - and time stamped? Might be one of the best ways...

Maybe this is why President Trump stopped the so-called 'intelligence briefings' during the transition.

I remember that. There were even Congresscritters publicly calling for the President to be given false news in his PDB's because he "couldn't be trusted" I believe he said at the time that he felt he wasn't being given the Full Monte in those briefings, so why bother

I also want to know just who else they were illegally monitoring.

Not much is being said these days about an earlier assumption that ALL of the Republican candidates had been spied on.

According to the author of “Crisis of Character” Clinton had illegally obtained files on every Republican Senator, insuring that they would not convict

Did she typically write emails to herself a couple of weeks after meetings to memorialize those meetings?

It’s perfectly reasonable to ask.

I think what she was really saying is “we at the top did it by the books,” and they are setting up a fall guy below them to take the hit for their criminal activities they instigated and directed. It seems almost like desperation!

I do not think Comey, Yates, Brennan, and Clapper will step up to take the hit. A villa overseas is much nicer than Leavenworth prison in Kansas.

If one listens to Sara Carter’s information on what is going on behind the scenes it is obvious that honest men and women in the FBI and Justice Department are talking to her. This can no longer be contained. At a certain point the criminals start saying, “We can make a deal, may I please tell you what my boss did?”

We live in interesting times.

whether or not it can be proven, my guess is Rice had read the NYT that morning. after all, it arrives on the desks of all these political operatives daily.

And she sent an e-mail to herself that I’m assuming she could never read, since when she walked out the door that day, she was no longer a federal employee with a .gov e-mail address. She saw the writing on the wall and in the New York Times. This had to be a CYA move.

Interesting, fits her personality... I'm sure at this very moment the New York Times is assigning reporters to check this out... /s
