Sending an email to yourself has got to be the world’s lamest way to “make a record”
It’s the 21st century version of “I’m not a crook”.
She knew what was going to happen, so she had to do something. In just a couple of hours she would be unemployed...................
And anyone with more than a third grade education understands that this is exactly why she did this. In a very ham-handed manner she set to cover Obama’s dirty, stinking tracks by obviously going on and on about wanting to firmly follow the law so there would be some obvious record for her pals in the corrupt MSM to blather on for them.
Once it’s sent as an email it can never be destroyed. The best way to ensure it’ll always be there.
On the contrary - it’s now in the WH email log and all the backups.
Not bad at all, actually.
It’s no different than writing a “memo to file,” when all is said and done.
I do it frequently. When properly filed all the pertinent info is together.
It is the modern equivalent to the former Memo To File
But if you bcc: the rest you will all be on the same page.
It’s actually very effective. I did it once, about 10 years ago when a search for sql help at work got me to a pr0n site. I snapped a picture of the search results with the one I clicked on highlighted and sent it to myself so that if anyone ever asked, I could use that email to prove that I got there accidentally while doing work related activity.
It’s iron clad. That’s the point.
Actually not, but it is done for things that you are liable to forget. In this case "Playing it straight". LOL
People used to send contracts to themselves using registered mail. This was done to verify the time and date.
In the further things like this can be tied to a blockchain which will provide a timestamp.
This stuff happens all the time.
The way emails are captured - and time stamped? Might be one of the best ways...
And she sent an e-mail to herself that I’m assuming she could never read, since when she walked out the door that day, she was no longer a federal employee with a .gov e-mail address. She saw the writing on the wall and in the New York Times. This had to be a CYA move.
