It’s probably safe to say that Bob Goodlatte already knows the answer to the underlining question: DOJ FISA application different now from what they presented to FISA Court? That’s basically why Nunes and Goodlatte want to see it and transcripts of they had them of what what was said. Somebody has to be talking behind the scenes because it’s a complete waste of time for them to go fishing ‘publicly’ looking into areas they have no clue what’s going on, they probably DO know here

Yep. These “letters” are very public pronouncements of moves on the board. The good guys would like to compare the DOJ version of the FISA application to the one the court holds. Due to the classified nature of the info, it’s compartmentalized, and if the DOJ version is different, somebody gets an orange jumpsuit.
The judge might well be saying “you get the DOJ version and I’ll compare”. This is the same judge who released the document expressing the FISA court’s displeasure with DOJ for abusing the FISA process. Unless she’s been flipped since then, she hardly seems the type to pass the buck.
Means this. FISA court is done. All the judges are going to jail, as are a LOT of other people. Glad I didn’t pursue a FBI DOJ or CIA career. A lot of people are going to the pokey. When I say a lot, more than 80%. FBI agent in central Indiana has her butt puckered. She is a friend of my parents but from all indications she is looking to run. Woman is petrified. She is/was a bug placer on stuff they couldn’t get through the NSA.

So, your thought is that the application currently on record is not the same as that presented by the FBI/DOJ? That is, the change made after the fact was to clean it up, cover tracks?
