NOT everyone is trying to be dishonest
The most important fact is that more and more people realize they are being lied to.
One of the things I’ve said to people is that a lot of this violence has taken an upswing when we moved God out of the classroom, made abortion legal, simplified divorce and in general moved God away from our society. I just looked at it again last night, my ‘73 senior yearbook and the picture in it of the anglers and conservation club with a bunch of school kids and a teacher and some of them holding high-powered rifles with scopes. Nobody’s hair was on fire, no SWAT teams were called in, no kids left the school crying and fearing for their lives. We all grew up around guns and none of us thought of them as a way to settle scores or make a name for ourselves.
It's a twisting of the language.
The mere discharge of a firearm is not a "shooting".

Yesterday, and undoubtedly today as well, Trump was denounced and condemned (surprise surprise) for saying he was going to convene a meeting about mental health, instead of gun control. Many or even most of these mass shootings have been carried out by young men who have been heavily medicated for years, and come from a society where almost a quarter of people are on some type of psychiatric drug, and even more are addicted to opiates. Is it any wonder that this type of society, pushed on us by big pharma and the spineless politicians who get money from them, produces such tragedies?
I was gob-smacked to hear Neal Cavuto say we have had 287 school shootings since 1999. WTH?
