After House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., sent his memo laying out potential abuses of the FISA process by the FBI to the White House, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., demanded that he be removed as chairman. Nunes was deliberately dishonest in pushing to release a bogus memo, Pelosi declared, and had disgraced the House Intelligence Committee with his partisan effort to distort intelligence.
But Democrats cant so easily dismiss the far more detailed declassified criminal referral written by two respected Republican senators Charles E. Grassley, R-Iowa, and Lindsey O. Graham, R-S.C. which confirms the claims raised in the Nunes memo. The Grassley-Graham memo has been all but ignored since its release, but it deserves attention from everyone and answers from the Justice Department.
If youre concerned about Russia meddling in our election, as every American should be, then you should be deeply concerned about unverified allegations by Russian government officials, passed on to the FBI by a paid partisan of one candidate, leading to a warrant to spy on an American citizen associated with the other campaign.
According to Grassley and Graham, that is precisely what happened. The FBI relied heavily on the Steele dossier to obtain warrants for surveillance of Carter Page, a marginal former Trump campaign adviser, the senators write. Moreover, they say, the FBI did not have meaningful corroboration of Steeles claims when it submitted its application to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act court. The bulk of the application consists of allegations against Page that were disclosed to the FBI by Mr. Steele and are also outlined in the Steele dossier. The application appears to contain no additional information corroborating the dossier allegations against Mr. Page except for a news article that appears to be sourced to Mr. Steeles dossier as well.

MSN ran a story on its webpage lauding Steele as a ‘Hero’..
Really, Princess? What part is "bogus"? Care to share???
It's time to look at the relationship between the media and the ‘intelligence services’... We need to see what they feed the press, and how they feed the problem.
CIA Argues The Public Cant See Classified Information It Has Already Given To Favored Reporters
Wasn’t there one brave reporter there to ask Nancy that question? Don’t conservative news outlets send reporters to these events? Why not?
is being forced into the mainstream media...
Can the Botox Bitch be sanctioned by the house for saying another member is dishonest? I thought character assassination (although daily standard fare for democrats) was against house rules. Lock her up!
There are NO conservative news outlets.
There are (a few) individual conservatives at individual papers across the land. But NONE of these are in the democrat headquarters (New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta) where the news briefings (er, press conferences) are given, the natinal questions asked, and the AP/UPI/NYTimes/LATimes/WashPo stories are written.
Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., demanded that he be removed as chairman. Nunes was deliberately dishonest in pushing to release a bogus memo, Pelosi declared, and had disgraced the House Intelligence Committee with his partisan effort to distort intelligence.IOW, Pelosi was pushing the phony Steele Dossier, which wasn't based on intel anyway, and Nunes documents specific abuses and crimes related to the dossier's use among other things. It is obvious that Pelosi is one of the many Demagogic Party members pushing a deliberately dishonest bogus "memo". She's a disgrace, has been a disgrace throughout her career, and neither she nor any other member of her party can be trusted with power.
Saying the memo “deserves answers” isn’t going to cut it. Unless someone goes for the demodummies throats, it’s never going to happen.
I wonder what it would be like to see Puh-Lousey’s response to the walls on her mansions plastered in copies of it . . . at least the doors and gates thereto.
I had a cousin who once worked for the St. Louis Post Dispatch. Who knew there were a couple of actual journalists still working there?
Though, actually, it might be even more fitting for too gentlemanlly-to-do-it Nunes to bw**ch-slap her denture troubled face--at least symbolically.
And, it would be OK, with me, if her House offices door were plastered with copies of it.
And, imho, whenever and wherever they appear in public, conservatives would do well to yell out proper labels for the lying evil traitors. Maybe something like:
Agent of tyranny!
Not just a disgrace—a thieving corrupt channeler of public funds to hubby’s companies. Both need to be in prison for that.
St Louis Post Dispatch is hardly MSM. Would have been more significant if “Marc A. Theissen, Washington Post Columnist” had actually had this published in the Washington Post.
True. Think of it as ‘any port in a storm’... At least it’s a real newspaper.
