On January 5, 2018, a person close to Nikolas Cruz contacted the FBIs Public Access Line (PAL) tipline to report concerns about him. The caller provided information about Cruzs gun ownership, desire to kill people, erratic behavior, and disturbing social media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting a school shooting.
Under established protocols, the information provided by the caller should have been assessed as a potential threat to life. The information then should have been forwarded to the FBI Miami Field Office, where appropriate investigative steps would have been taken.
We have determined that these protocols were not followed for the information received by the PAL on January 5. The information was not provided to the Miami Field Office, and no further investigation was conducted at that time.

But the media and the Dems have said it is “treasonous” to question the actions of the FBI and other intelligence agencies.
I guess this is their standard answer to everything now, FISA, illegal Trump investigations, etc.
Yup, Full Force chasing Russia leads down the rabbit hole.
Imagine if someone like Peter Strzok were actually concerned about the job he signed up to do. He could have been a hero today if he had stopped Nikolas Cruz instead of being a political apparatchik.
wtf
Well, in the defense of the FBI, they did point out that in his online threat post he didn’t specify the exact date and time he was going to do it and a location.
Also, determining the owner owner of an email address that posts on YouTube is an immense technical challenge. I seriously doubt even the NSA could shag down an email address and location of a poster.
And besides, they were very busy with their coup attempt, undermining Trump, protecting Hillary, and having office affairs.

. . . at the cost of 17 young lives in Parkland FL.
But if we just had more LAWS, dang it.
Unbelievable!
Was it Sessions who said “no department is perfect”? Or Wray?
Maybe they should have a face-to-face sit-down with the families of the 17 killed.
Sounds like we need some common sense FBI control.
either one wouldn't surprise me.
CLEAN HOUSE
NOWs your cover.
Get them THO
Indeed, all this preposterous preoccupation with the BOGUS RUSSIAN WITCH HUNT has diverted the attention of both the FBI and DOJ from attending to legitimate threats against our citizens!!!
The lower ranks might be alright but the upper echelons (Christopher Wray, Feckless Jeff Sessions, Rod Rosenstein, et.al.) need to be FIRED!!!
We need Rudy Guiliani, Joseph DeGenova or Mike Mulkasey in charge of these agencies to focus on what must be prioritized!
"...no further investigation was conducted at that time..."
Its time to disband the FBI. Theyre worse than useless.
L
This Cruz did not have anything on Trump.
And one of the best ways to stop this lousy handling of these cases is for the 17 families be joined by the 14 other families and sue the FBI for about $10,000,000,000 (that is billions). The public outcry in favor of this would be so huge they would have to pay it and then fire a bunch of people. Right now all they will do is investigate like they have been investigating Russia for over ayear. That satisfies their PC and accomplishes absolutely NOTHING.
Doesn’t the FBI have local offices?
