About 2 years ago, many web sites went from the old format of highlighting a few stories and providing links to others, to a format in which virtually every story, complete with photos, is on the front page. Unless you have mega-memory, it takes a long time for the page to load, and you scroll down and scroll down and scroll down ad nauseum. Posting comments on these sites can become problematical, sometimes almost impossible, without the site freezing. Some conservative sites - like National Review - are among the worst offenders.

Thanks for that explanation. Its really annoying. Theres sites like Townhall or the Hill that I used to read occasionally and have now completely given up on. Sadly the New York Times loads perfectly every time.
