Yep. I purchased a Benchmade Mini-Barrage for all my kids on Christmas. Aren’t they the best?
I have carried one for about 60 years, since I first went to High School. Of course, today, I would be expelled from High School for that. About 40 years ago, my two kids went together for Christmas one year and bought a Tinker Swiss Army Knife for me. I have been carrying it ever since.

I saw a TV program on African use of a flint sliver. It was about the size of a quarter. Since there were no pockets in a loin cloth, it was carried pressed against the abdomen by the loin cloth string.
It was used for a multitude of purposes including the dressing and prep of an antelope. The sliver was sharp as a razor and cut through what the owner desired.
While diving in a Florida spring, I found on the bottom a small Gerber lock back. It was only about an inch or so. It served my purpose and didn’t wear holes in my jean pocket. I lost it and Gerber quit making oe that small.
I’d rather carry my K-Bar, but I don’t want to freak people out. Instead I’ve a 3” Bear Grylls which I carry everywhere, except to the airport. But I have a 4” at the end of that line.
Yep... I bought a bunch of these pocket knives made by “Ozark Trail.” Not a bad knife.... especially for the price.
I thought my Victorinox was a goner 10 years ago when I forgot to toss it in my check in bag flying out of Portland, Maine. Got out of the security line and returned to the ticket counter. Asked the agent if I could mail it or if I was going to have to toss it. The agent surprised me by telling me to meet my bag at the luggage carousel in 5 minutes, toss the knife inside then to recheck the bag. Bet I wouldnt have gotten that courtesy in New York.

Yeah, I wish I still had my old Cub Scout knife. I do have a nice Buck hunting knife that I think is in the top of the downstairs tool box. I dont have much call for it, dont hunt.
Right you are...Maybe more like the James Black Bowie or the Tah Chee...
Carbon steel, hand forged...
I still carry the little Case my Gramps gave me over 55 years ago...
Goes to my Grandson...When his Mom says he can have it...
I already have an alox Farmer in a drawer, waiting for the day when I break my Soldier by asking too much of it... but the Soldier may outlast me!

Your kids have a good father. I tremendously enjoy your page. Someday I shall read the rest of it.
