I curious, why is it a crime for Russians to troll US Elections?
Under Obama the US Government actively tried to influence elections in Europe, Israel and Egypt.
Yet is is crime for someone to do it back to us? Is this what the Media/Political class think?
Or is it they hate anyone who upsets their ability to control the flow of information to the US People?

I have thought for some time that many departments of govt. are so infested with deep staters that the only solution is to recreate department after department. Get rid of the old employees as best you can considering union regs and how hard it is to get rid of Civil service employees.The most practical solution is exactly what you said: recreating government! We have the right potus to do it.

The alleged crimes are FEC and FARA violations. Trolling is not a violation. The inditement is filled with gratuitous facts, facts that have NO BEARING on the alleged criminal conduct.
the Russian actors failed to register as foreign agents conducting political activity in the U.S., and made expenditures related to the election without properly disclosing them.
Everything done would have been legal if they had correctly disclosed who they were, in the ads; and if they had registered under FARA (which is a joke, all sorts of foreigners lobby Congress without registering, and nobody gives a hoot about that).

One thing we forget is that one of the reasons we lost so many good military officers under the Obama/Jarrett regime is that many were asked the question: if asked to fire on US citizens would you obey those orders? Many wouldn't and were fired, retired or a reason was found to demote them or whatever retributions could be done.
