I haven't read the indictments, but it sounded like the Russian effort was just a piling on of the kind of trolling and misrepresentation that is SOP for political operatives on the Internet.

I doubt that the vast majority of Americans had ever even heard of the front groups they set up, or were influenced by them in any significant way.

All the persons named in the indictment reside in, and have always been, NOT IN THE USA. So I am sure Mueller is going to have all these Russians extradited to the USA for immediate arrest and prosecution. Good Luck with your frog march photo-op there, Mully.

And another thing... The goofy charges wouldn’t hold up, even if the perps were spies operating on American soil. They can call it fraud and identity theft. But there has to be a victim. Who is the victim? Hillary? The American people? There is nothing illegal about using a fake name on social media. And, since our government insists that our constitution protects all humans under US law (even illegal immigrants), then it would presume to assume that these Russians were only expressing their freedom of speech in the form of political opinion.

The fraud here is Mueller and his team getting paid to fake an investigation where there was never a crime committed.
